Why Ocenio

What we check before anything reaches this page

  • Licences verified, not declared

We check each skipper's certification against the size of boat they may legally command. No unreviewed document ever reaches a profile.

  • The price you see is the price

No booking fee at the end. You arrange the trip directly with the owner.

  • Real boats, at real berths

Every listing names the city it's in and the berth it sails from, plus how many people it takes. No stock photo standing in for a boat.

The days people ask for most.

Questions people ask

And the honest answers.

Do I need an account to book?

No. Your name and an email are enough. You pay, and the link you get back is your booking, your conversation with the owner, and later the place you leave a review. Nothing to sign up for, no password to lose.

When am I charged, and what does the price include?

You pay when you book, through Stripe — your card never touches this site. The total you see before pressing the button is the total: the boat, the extras you ticked, and nothing added afterwards. What the price does not cover is listed on every boat page, next to what it does.

Do I need a licence?

Not if you take a skipper. Boats listed with a skipper included come with one; for the rest you can add a verified skipper from the directory, filtered to the ones certified for that boat’s length.

What happens if the weather turns?

Talk to the owner in the booking’s own conversation — they know that stretch of water and they decide whether the day is safe. Every booking has that thread from the moment it is paid.

Who am I actually renting from?

The owner of the boat, directly. Ocenio takes a commission on the booking and does not mark the owner’s price up; the number on the listing is the number the owner set.
